According to data from Box Office Vietnam, over the past three weekend days alone, the film grossed an additional VND60 billion (approximately US$2.4 million) from 633,045 tickets sold across a record 10,151 screenings. This brings its total revenue to VND387 billion (US$15.6 million).

The gap between “Tho oi!” and its competitors continues to widen, as the film sustains strong audience appeal and generates viral catchphrases that keep conversations alive on social media.

Meanwhile, “Bau vat troi cho” (A Gift From Heaven) starring Phuong Anh Dao and Tuan Tran, has climbed to second place, though its revenue stands at only one-third of “Tho oi!”. The film earned VND20 billion (US$800,000) over the weekend from 3,751 screenings, pushing its cumulative total to VND92 billion (US$3.7 million).

Notably, “Cam on nguoi da thuc cung toi” (A Little Dream of Me) featuring Nguyen Hung from “Mua do,” (Read Rain) quickly expanded its screening schedule after release and collected VND13 billion (US$520,000), securing third place at the box office.

“Cha ba toi mot phong,” (A Room Called Home) led by Truong Giang, saw a sharp drop in weekend revenue with VND10 billion (US$400,000), ranking fourth. However, as of the morning of March 2, the film has surpassed VND108 billion (US$4.3 million), according to Box Office Vietnam.

Despite active promotion from her brother on social media, “Nha minh di thoi,” featuring Uyen An, Tran Thanh’s younger sister, has struggled commercially. The film earned VND6.5 billion (US$260,000) in its opening week and currently stands at VND8 billion (approximately US$320,000), including early screenings and advance ticket sales.

“Wuthering Heights,” a Hollywood 18+ adaptation inspired by the literary classic and starring Margot Robbie, made waves in North America upon release but has failed to ignite similar enthusiasm in Vietnam, grossing less than VND4 billion (US$160,000) during its opening weekend.

The influx of new titles has pushed “Mui pho” further down the rankings. The film has largely lost its momentum and is no longer a topic of discussion among audiences. Over the weekend, it earned VND2.3 billion (US$92,000), bringing its total to VND37 billion (US$1.5 million).
