Authorities in Lam Dong province are investigating a fatal accident that killed two people and seriously injured another after a truck carrying electric poles plunged into a ravine in Lac Duong district.

The crash occurred on March 17 along Truong Son Dong Road in Dung K’No commune. The semi-trailer truck, carrying heavy utility poles, suddenly veered off the road and tumbled into a deep ravine, leaving a scene of devastation.

The truck was completely wrecked, with electric poles scattered across the crash site. Three people were aboard at the time of the accident. Tragically, two victims, identified as D.H.M and T.T.H from Dong Nai province, lost their lives. The third passenger, N.C.C, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital by local residents.

Emergency crews and police officers arrived at the site to examine the wreckage and determine the cause of the accident. Authorities are currently investigating whether factors such as mechanical failure, road conditions, or driver error contributed to the tragedy.

As the investigation continues, local officials urge drivers to exercise extreme caution on mountainous roads, especially when transporting heavy cargo.
