The department has announced the selection of a professional auction organization to handle the sale. The jewelry collection was recently appraised at a total value of nearly VND25 billion (about US$960,000).

The most valuable item is a pair of diamond earrings, appraised at more than VND9.44 billion (US$363,000). The earrings feature two diamonds measuring 10.58 mm and 10.7 mm in diameter, along with their settings.

The second most valuable piece is a diamond necklace, valued at more than VND8.89 billion (US$342,000). It includes a 12.67 mm diamond pendant, multiple diamonds ranging from 3.5 mm to 7 mm set along the chain, and the necklace itself.

A white diamond ring, featuring a 14.1 mm diamond, has been valued at nearly VND6.65 billion (US$256,000).

During the second phase of the Van Thinh Phat trial, Truong My Lan asked the court to return the diamond necklace, ring, earrings and two rare white Hermès handbags, arguing that they had been gifts from her mother and held sentimental value.

However, the trial panel determined that the assets had been acquired using proceeds of criminal activity and ordered that they remain seized and be sold to support judgment enforcement.

Before listing the jewelry collection, the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Judgment Enforcement Department had successfully auctioned several other assets linked to Truong My Lan. Two rare white Hermès handbags were sold for a combined more than VND14 billion (US$538,000). A Mercedes-Maybach fetched more than VND16.6 billion (about US$638,000), while a BMW was sold for VND879 million (US$33,800).

Two vehicles remain unsold after several auction attempts: a BMW bearing license plate 50L-069.47 and a Lexus with license plate 51A-942.85.

Meanwhile, two luxury yachts - The Reverie Saigon and THALIA - remain without buyers after five auction rounds. The 2018 French-built The Reverie Saigon, currently moored at Tam Son Marina in Dong Nai City, has a starting price of more than VND38.7 billion (US$1.49 million). The 2017 Polish-built THALIA, docked at Vinhomes Central Park Marina in Ho Chi Minh City, carries a starting price of more than VND3.8 billion (US$146,000).
