Houses were carried intact to safer locations.

On September 30, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuc Truong, Political Commissar of Ga Ry Border Guard Station (Da Nang City), confirmed that the unit had mobilized its forces, working with local people to relocate six houses in Put Hamlet (Hung Son Commune) away from a dangerous landslide zone.

Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 10, several points in Put Hamlet’s residential area showed signs of landslides, threatening to collapse many homes.

Faced with this situation, on the morning of September 30, Ga Ry Border Guard Station deployed 20 officers and soldiers along with local authorities and residents to carry six intact houses to safer ground, instead of dismantling them piece by piece.

This method saved time, minimized damage to property, and allowed families to quickly settle back into safe housing after the storm.

According to Hung Son Commune People’s Committee, the recent storm triggered landslides affecting 10 households in Ga’nil and Put Hamlets, buried more than 0.7 hectares of farmland in Ki’noonh Hamlet, and killed five cows and one buffalo.

At Put Hamlet Primary School, the riverbank was eroded deeply. Several upstream weirs were damaged, leaving hundreds of households short of domestic water.

The commune now has over 35 landslide points along inter-hamlet roads, causing severe travel disruptions. Many resettlement areas in Ga’nil, Put, G’lao, and Ating Hamlets were also covered by mud and rocks.

In addition to moving houses, the authorities assisted a seriously ill Lao citizen staying in Atu 2 Hamlet (Hung Son Commune). Soldiers used a hammock to carry this person to Tay Giang auxiliary border gate, where they completed immigration procedures before returning home to recover.
