U22 Vietnam delivered a convincing 2-0 victory over U22 Malaysia to secure a place in the semifinals of the men’s football tournament at SEA Games 33, finishing as the top team in Group B.

The momentum remained with Vietnam, and in the 22nd minute, Dinh Bac dazzled on the left wing before cutting the ball back for Minh Phuc to tap in the second goal. The CAHN midfielder had little trouble doubling the lead with a calm finish.
Before halftime, Vietnam created more chances but couldn’t convert. In the second half, the team slowed the tempo, conserving energy and maintaining their lead. Coach Kim gradually rotated out key players to preserve them for the next round.
Vietnam closed the match with a clean sheet and a confident 2-0 win, advancing to the semifinals atop Group B. Their next opponent is likely to be the second-place team from Group A - possibly U22 Philippines.
