Many people may cannot forget their feelings two days ago when they had to hunt for the tickets to ‘Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai’ concert, scheduled on December 14, 2024. This is the Vietnamese version of the Chinese TV show Call Me by Fire produced by Mango TV.

Just after 40 minutes of opening for sale, all tickets sold out. Many people fell into a state of panic when realizing that they were behind hundreds of thousands of people lining up and did not have or came close to not having the chance to buy tickets to the concert to see their idols performing live.

Young people anticipated the crash of the website for booking tickets and prepared in order to queue as soon as the sales began, but they still failed to find the precious tickets.

Notably, the organizing board never thought of sold out tickets because no Vietnamese concert had attracted such large audiences.

In 2023, the Born Pink concert by BlackPink at My Dinh Stadium on July 29-30, attracted 70,000 spectators. However, it was a foreign show, and no one thought that the record would be broken by a Vietnamese concert. But this has happened.

Another Vietnamese concert, 'Anh trai say Hi’, expected to be held on December 7, also sold out after 45 minutes, leaving many people disappointed as their efforts to hunt for tickets for one month failed.

Analysts said the ‘heat’ of the two Vietnamese concerts from the two TV shows has changed the face of the Vietnamese music market and the taste of Vietnamese people, those who just watched foreign shows, and the crazy fans of K-Pop.

Many people were surprised seeing people queuing up at noon to check in with electronic tickets and follow procedures to attend the concert to see MC Tran Thanh and 30 celebrities at ‘Anh trai say hi’ on the evening of September 28 at Bo Song Sai Gon Park in HCM City. This kind of scene had only occurred at shows of stars of international stature.

The two concerts (‘Anh trai say hi’ and ‘Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai) to be held in Hanoi bring great experiences to Hanoi audiences. While ‘Anh trai say hi’ is an impressive and creative performance of young and versatile artists whose composing, singing and dancing skills are in no way inferior to foreign singers, the talents in ‘Anh trai vuot ngan cong gai ‘conquer the audience with their many years of performing experience, and powerful voices tested over time.

The talents at ‘Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai’ surprised millions of spectators with the remake of Trong Com song (Vietnamese cylindrical drum - an ordinary musical instrument) performed by Tu Long, Soobin and Cuong Seven, or made them shed tears with the emotional performance of Me yeu con (I love you) which then climbed to the top of YouTube Trending Music.

Never before have Vietnamese songs been listened to and shared so much. Many people have realized that Vietnamese music has made great progress and artists now can experience 'fever', of hot moments, like famous international stars.

While the organizers of ‘Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai’ and ‘Anh trai say hi’ are stunned by the large number of people wanting to see the concert in Hanoi in December, the organizers of K-Time Live In Hanoi are in a different situation.

The organizing board planned to organize the event on November 16-17 at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi with the participation of Korean stars Super Junior D&E (Donghae và Eunhyuk), Super Junior L.S.S (LeeTeuk, Shindong, Siwon), Apink, The New Six, Highlight, ONF, TripleS, singers Hyolyn, Hwasa and Onew. However, on November 13, it announced the cancelation of the event and refund of money as the number of tickets sold was modest.

In 2023, BOM Entertainment, the organizer of K-Pop Open Air #2, also had to announce the cancelation of two nights, slated for December 23-24, just hours before the opening.

Analysts say that Vietnam showbiz is witnessing a spectacular change in the holding of the throne between V-Pop and K-Pop with the strong rise of Vietnamese music.
