The announcement follows a police press briefing held on July 9, when authorities confirmed that four suspects had already been prosecuted in connection with the case.
Among them is Tran Thi Thu Hang, vice principal of Nguyen Van Huyen High School, who has been charged with lack of responsibility causing serious consequences.
Police had earlier arrested and detained Nguyen Ha Duy, a 28-year-old mathematics teacher at Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted who served as the examination site's secretary. He is accused of abusing his position and authority while carrying out official duties.
Authorities have also charged two additional individuals whose identities have not yet been publicly disclosed.
Alleged violations of examination regulations
According to Colonel Tran Anh Tuan, head of the Advisory Division of Tuyen Quang Provincial Police, Tran Thi Thu Hang served as chief supervisor of the examination site and was responsible for overseeing all examination activities to ensure the national graduation exam complied with official regulations.
Investigators allege that Hang instructed several invigilators to improperly assist candidates during the mathematics examination, in violation of examination rules.
Police further allege that, acting on Hang's instructions, Nguyen Ha Duy entered examination rooms and directly guided several students while they were taking the mathematics test.
Authorities said the alleged actions seriously violated national examination regulations, undermined the fairness, transparency and integrity of the examination process, and generated widespread public concern.
