According to Hoai, the congress took place at a particularly significant moment, following the successful organization of the 14th National Party Congress and the elections for the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

It was also the first congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front since the implementation of a new organizational model consolidating socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State under the umbrella of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

“This is a special milestone affirming the position and core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building the great national unity bloc,” Hoai said.

The congress reviewed the implementation of the 10th Congress Resolution for the 2024-2026 period and reached broad consensus on priorities for the new term.

Delegates approved 15 specific targets, seven action programs and an implementation plan for the Resolution of the 11th Congress.

Hoai said the congress was honored to hear an important and comprehensive policy speech delivered by Party Chief and President To Lam regarding Front affairs in the new era.

According to her, the directions outlined by To Lam serve not only as encouragement and assignments for the Front system, but also carry strategic significance in guiding stronger reforms in operational methods and more decisive, effective action in the years ahead.

The congress also democratically selected the 397-member Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term.

The committee includes representatives from social classes, ethnic communities, religions, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, overseas Vietnamese, Front officials and member organizations.
