
According to data from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), its members sold 375,739 vehicles in 2025 - up 10.5% from 2024. When including sales from VinFast (175,099 units) and the Hyundai Thanh Cong joint venture (53,299 units), Vietnam’s total market volume reached approximately 604,064 units, marking a year-on-year growth of over 15%.

VinFast VF 3: 44,585 units
The mini electric SUV VF 3 became VinFast’s top-selling model, with 44,585 units sold - just edging out the VF 5 at 43,913. The VF 3 alone accounted for 25.5% of the company’s total sales in 2025.
Launched to customers in August 2024, the VF 3 immediately disrupted Vietnam’s market with its ultra-affordable price of 283 million VND (approx. USD 11,300, including battery). Compact and electric, the model catered to urban drivers and sparked a new wave of mini-EV popularity.
Mitsubishi Xpander: 19,891 units
Mitsubishi’s Xpander reached a record 19,891 units in 2025, a modest 2% increase over 2024. It maintained its lead as the country’s best-selling internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle.
Despite the arrival of the new Xforce model, the Xpander remained the company’s top performer, contributing 45.1% of Mitsubishi’s total sales.
Ford Ranger: 18,692 units
Ford’s flagship pickup dominated its segment again in 2025, selling 18,692 units and becoming the brand’s best-selling model in Vietnam. The Ranger represented 37.1% of Ford Vietnam’s total deliveries, including commercial vehicles.
Available in six variants, the Ranger offered both 2.2L Turbo and 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engines, with prices ranging from USD 26,400 to 52,000.
Mazda CX-5: 17,262 units
Mazda’s CX-5 continues to anchor the brand’s presence in Vietnam. In 2025, it sold 17,262 units - accounting for 53.2% of all Mazda vehicles delivered that year.
Locally assembled by THACO, the CX-5 features seven variants priced between USD 29,900 and 39,000. It remains one of the brand’s most consistent top-sellers over recent years.
Toyota Yaris Cross: 14,601 units
Yaris Cross edged out the long-standing favorite Vios (13,424 units) to become Toyota’s best-selling model in 2025. It made up 20.3% of the company’s total sales.
Imported from Indonesia, the Yaris Cross launched in Vietnam in late 2023. It comes in a 1.5L petrol version and a hybrid version, priced at USD 29,200 and USD 33,500 respectively.
Honda City: 10,899 units
Honda’s best-performing model remained the City, with 10,899 units sold - accounting for 38% of the brand’s Vietnam sales in 2025.
First introduced in its current generation in 2021, the City offers a 1.5L engine, CVT transmission, and standard ADAS features across all three trims (G, L, and RS), with prices ranging from USD 20,000 to 22,800.
Hyundai Tucson: 9,243 units
Surprisingly, Hyundai’s best-selling model in 2025 wasn’t the Accent or Creta, but the Tucson - selling 9,243 units and representing 17.4% of the brand’s total (including commercial vehicles).
The C-segment SUV was refreshed in October 2024 and offered in four variants with three engine options: 2.0L petrol, 1.6L turbocharged petrol, and 2.0L diesel. Pricing ranges from USD 30,800 to 39,200.
KIA Seltos: 6,577 units
Despite selling fewer units than rivals in its segment, the Seltos led KIA’s lineup with 6,577 units sold, accounting for 24.2% of the company’s total.
KIA’s refreshed Seltos lineup includes five variants priced between USD 24,000 and 30,800. While it tops KIA’s chart, it still trails other B-SUV competitors like the Xpander, Yaris Cross, and Creta.
Suzuki XL7 Hybrid: 2,633 units
The hybrid version of the XL7 remained Suzuki’s strongest performer in Vietnam, selling 2,633 units - an impressive 75.3% of the brand’s passenger vehicle sales.
Imported from Indonesia, the XL7 Hybrid features a mild-hybrid system with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and a lithium-ion battery. It’s priced at USD 24,300.
