On December 26, the renowned American travel publication revealed a collection of 71 breathtaking destinations from various countries and territories. This year, Hoa Binh is the sole Vietnamese destination honored by CNTraveller.
"Hoa Binh is a province in northern Vietnam, celebrated for its seemingly endless rice fields and as home to several ethnic minority communities such as the H'Mong, Muong, and Dao," the magazine described.
In addition to its remarkable natural scenery, the selection criteria by CNTraveller included cultural and historical significance, the hospitality of locals, diverse cuisine, and engaging tourist experiences.
Each year, particularly during September and October, Mai Chau District in Hoa Binh captivates visitors with its golden rice fields, resembling a picturesque painting.
The editors at CNTraveller emphasized that the destinations on this year's list were not ranked in any specific order.
Alongside Hoa Binh, several other Asian destinations were honored in the list, including Raja Ampat and Bali (Indonesia), Hong Kong, Zhangye Danxia Geopark (China), Bayon Temple (Cambodia), Jodhpur (India), Mount Fuji, Kyoto, and the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest (Japan).
