According to the Department of Survey, Mapping and Geographic Information under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the continuous operating reference stations (CORSs) use the GNSS technology to provide highly accurate geo-spatial positioning for not only map survey but also other sectors like transport, environment, geophysics, and construction.
From now until the end of 2019, the project will build 65 stations across areas recording high economic growth.
To date, 17 CORS stations and a data processing centre have been put into operation to serve terrain and land registry map surveying in the northern region.-VNA
