Vietnam pushed their formation high and took control of the tempo immediately after kickoff. Indonesia, however, also showed flashes of danger. From the 13th minute, Indonesia stepped up their pressing in search of the opener, but Vietnam’s defense held firm. The first half ended without a goal.
Early in the second half, Nisman fired a powerful strike in the 21st minute to put Indonesia ahead. Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang’s players quickly regrouped and produced an impressive turnaround.
In the 24th minute, Thanh Ngan displayed fine technique to glide past a defender before finishing clinically to level the score at 1-1.
Just two minutes later, Thuy Trang unleashed a dangerous long-range effort that left the Indonesian goalkeeper with no time to react, giving Vietnam a 2-1 lead.
By the 27th minute, Bien Thi Hang surged forward from deep and struck decisively to extend the advantage to 3-1.
In the 38th minute, Phuong Anh launched a long ball that sailed straight into an empty net, sealing a convincing 4-1 win and securing the bronze medal for Vietnam.
