In a rare international competition for Vietnamese gymnasts, Ngo Hai Yen, one of the core members of the national team, demonstrated a stable performance, winning two gold and two silver medals.
Following her senior teammate’s footstep, Nguyen Nhu Hong also clinched two gold medals in the junior individual and all-around categories, while Tran Kim Tho won a gold medal in the apparatus category.
The International Rhythmic Gymnastics 2024 (Dream Cup Vivace 2024) took place in Malaysia from August 29 to September 1, bringing together rhythmic gymnastics teams from Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Russia, Hong Kong (China), China, Taiwan (China) and Thailand.
The results are expected to motivate local athletes to train harder and achieve even greater success in coming competitions, said Phung Le Thy, head of the Ho Chi Minh City Rhythmic Gymnastics.
