Many people slept in front of the Somerset shopping mall in Singapore to wait for the first iPhone 6S in 2015.

"I need to find 5 people to queue from the evening of September 13 through September 16 to buy iPhone 7, with the pay of $300 per person. The store is at Somerset. Please inbox me if you can."

This is part of a small ad posted by nickname Cao Son Long on the fanpage of Vietnamese in Singapore.

The postattracted many comments from Vietnamese students and Vietnamese people living in this country.

Apple will begin distributing the first iPhone 7 on September 16 so people were surprised as Cao Son Long wanted to hire someone to line up two days before.

Like facebooker Cao Son Long, many Vietnamese have posted similar ads on online forums. The common pay for one day of queuing is from $100 to $120.

Those who posted the ads are cell-phone traders, who expected to buy the first iPhone 7 to sell at very high prices.

Nguyen Huu Minh, the owner of a cell-phone shop in HCM City, said last year he hired Vietnamese students in Singapore to buy iPhone 6S. This year the pay for this job is a bit higher than last year, Minh said.

Nguyen Hoang Ha, another phone shop owner in District 5, HCM City, said he had hired nine students to queue at shops in central Singapore and he was recruiting more to line up at stores in the suburbs like Jurong West, Paya Lebar ... or even at Changi airport. He was willing to pay $360/person for three nights.

Ha said this is the second year he had gone to Singapore to purchase the first iPhone. Last year, Ha brought nearly 10 iPhone 6S Plus on the first day of launching.

Ha said this year it would be more difficult to buy the first iPhone 7 as more Vietnamese will queue for it.

iPhone 7 and 7 Plus officially hit stores on September 16.

In Asia, the first countries and territories selling the iPhone 7 include Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan and Taiwan.
