Vietnamese young people set off for military and public security service

In 2023, more than 4,200 young people in Hanoi will perform military and public security service.
At 7:00 am on February 6, 69 recruits were present at Quan Ngua Sports Palace to attend the 2023 send-off ceremony of Ba Dinh district.
Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung attended, encouraged and congratulated the new recruits.

A total of 30 districts in Hanoi held ceremonies on February 6 to see off around 4,200 youngsters voluntarily registering to perform military and public security service this year.

The send-off ceremony will be held from February 6 to 10 across the country.

All young people joining the army this year must meet health and education level requirements. Military service is compulsory for Vietnamese men from 18 to 25 years of age and is extended to 27 for those applying for a delay to pursue higher education degrees.

Many families are both happy and proud when their sons are recruited for military service, following in the footsteps of older generations who served in the army.
Thousands of young people across Vietnam are excited and proud to join the army and hope to contribute to protecting the fatherland on this occasion.
In Quang Ninh province, 1,850 young men enlisted in 8 units of the Ministry of National Defense.
This morning, Thanh Hoa province had a total of 3,505 young men enlisted in the army.
