Vietnamobile Telecommunications Joint Stock Company is offering customers more freedom in choosing their mobile numbers after the successful launch of its unlimited data SIM cards, “Thanh SIM”.

As opposed to having to select numbers from an existing list, customers can go to chonso.vietnamobile.com.vn and select a “wish number” or a “pair number”.

A “wish number” can be chosen from either 01866xxxxxx or 01888xxxxxx, where customers can type in any combination of numbers to replace the x’s and reserve it before collecting from a Vietnamobile store.

As for “pair number”, customers can type in and search for a pair of matching numbers, as long as the last three digits are different.

The “Thanh SIM” programme was launched a month ago, offering unlimited data for VND40,000 initially and a monthly top-up of VND20,000.
