Bac Ninh Province has launched a club to preserve and promote ’ca trù’ (ceremonial singing) which was recognised by UNESCO in 2009 as an intangible cultural heritage in urgent need of safeguarding.
UNESCO recognized Don Ca Tai Tu Nam Bo as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity at the 8th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage held in Baku, Azerbaijan in December 2013.
