At the opening session of the 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC) on February 26 in Barcelona, Viettel officially introduced its 5G chipset and Vi An-Human AI to the global technology community.

These are two out of 17 products representing the technological ecosystem introduced by Viettel at the largest annual event of the mobile industry in 2024. This is the seventh time Viettel has attended the conference as Vietnam’s only technology firm.

With the theme ‘Future First’, Viettel’s products are grouped in four categories – network infrastructure, database, digital platform and technology in the future

The products are displayed in a two-tiered space with S-Nation theme, with ‘S’ signifying ‘Smart’, ‘Sustainable’ and the S-shape of Vietnam.

At MWC 2024, Viettel introduced 5G DFE (digital front end) chipset entirely designed and mastered by its semiconductor engineers. The chipset can satisfy 3GPP’s (3rd Generation Partnership Project, a number of organizations which develop protocols for mobile telecommunications), equal to general standards for 5G of 10 large semiconductor companies in the world.

At the same time, Viettel has also introduced a network system that automatically optimizes performance, saves power, and automatically resolves problems applied to both 5G and 4G, which is being deployed in Vietnam and 10 countries where Viettel has invested.

The storage and processing infrastructure comprises Viettel Cloud, which provides services from storage/processing infrastructure, platforms for app development, and software for organizations and businesses. The ecosystem has the function of protecting digital sovereignty, and creates data storage infrastructure for Vietnamese individuals and businesses.

As for digital products/services, Viettel brought to MWC 2024 AI apps for interaction with clients, finance and entertainment.

ViAn, the first Human AI of Vietnam, creates a new method of interaction with AI. At MWC, ViAn communicates with clients in a friendly and natural way.

Also, Viettel has VDFP, a digital financial platform that supports digital financial apps with non-internet payment features. This helps bring digital finance in areas where there are limitations in fixed and mobile connections.

The group of products changing the way people use technology in the future includes Digital Twin which creates virtual space based on AI technology, IoT and remote sensing data. The technology is being researched and developed by Viettel in order to optimize the operation of cities.

According to Viettel’s deputy CEO Nguyen Dinh Chien, when attending the conference, Viettel is willing to establish strategic cooperation with tech firms in the world and transfer technology with partners to create best products.
