The spotlight is expected to fall on the new iPhone generation, including the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the foldable iPhone Ultra. Together, the three devices could make this one of Apple’s most significant iPhone launch seasons in years.

Alongside the iPhones, the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 are also expected to make an appearance.

Apple may not stop there. The company could use the event to introduce a new version of the Apple TV 4K.

The product has gone some time without an upgrade and is increasingly seen as one of the devices in Apple’s smart-home ecosystem most in need of a refresh.

A new HomePod mini is also rumoured to be on the way. More notably, Apple could introduce the smart-home hub it has reportedly been developing for some time.

The device was previously rumoured to have been delayed because of difficulties upgrading Siri to the new Siri AI platform.

If Apple can resolve those issues in time, the smart-home hub could emerge as one of the biggest surprises of the event.

Still, Apple has a long list of products yet to be released, and users should not expect all of them to appear at the September 9 event.

Notable absentees could include the standard iPhone 18, camera-equipped AirPods, a touchscreen MacBook Pro, an OLED iPad mini and the Apple Watch SE 4.

According to leaked information, Apple could delay the iPhone 18 until early 2027. Meanwhile, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has said that the AirPods Ultra with integrated cameras will not arrive before 2027.

The touchscreen MacBook Pro is not expected to debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, while the next-generation iPad mini with an OLED display will most likely be announced in October.

Apple appears to be spreading out its product schedule to create several launch waves over the following months rather than unveiling everything at a single event.

With the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Ultra among the most eagerly awaited devices, the September 9 event still has the potential to become one of the biggest technology showcases of 2026.

The rest of Apple’s ecosystem could continue to be revealed in October, while some products may have to wait until 2027.
