The Vietnam Record Organization has officially recognized and awarded a national record to the Hanoi Broadcasting Station for organizing the performance titled Hanoi Tango, which gathered the largest number of participants in a Tango dance in the country.

The record-setting performance was part of the Symphony of Peace 2025 program by Hanoi Broadcasting Station.

The Vietnam Record Organization’s delegation, which attended the event and directly presented the certificate, included Dr. Le Doan Hop – former Minister of Information and Communications and Chairman of the Vietnam Record Organization Council – and Hoang Thai Tuan Anh – Deputy Director of the Vietnam Records Institute and Northern Representative of the Organization.

The performance of Hanoi Tango captivated audiences not only with its grand scale - featuring hundreds of couples moving in harmony across a unified artistic space - but also through the refined, emotionally charged physical expression that conveyed the pulse of modern, dynamic Hanoi in the context of global cultural flow.

Now in its sixth year, Symphony of Peace by Hanoi Broadcasting Station continues to build on the core values that have elevated Hanoi’s status as a “City for Peace” on the global cultural map. It also reaffirms the station’s vital role in advancing the capital's cultural industries.

Since its inception in 2019, Symphony of Peace has become a prestigious artistic brand of the capital, offering audiences an artful fusion of semi-classical music and internationally standardized dance performances.

Classic pieces were revitalized with emotional depth, including Hanoi in Autumn (Waltz), Memories of Hanoi (Boston), La Cumpasita (Tango), as well as energetic numbers like Despacito (Quickstep) and Those Were The Days (Jive). The event also featured the Dòng Thời Gian Orchestra and performances by artists such as Hoang Hong Ngoc, Bich Ngoc, Thu Thuy, and Minh Quan.

The highlight of the event was the unprecedented record-setting mass performance. Under the direction of technical director Chi Anh, 500 dancers (250 couples) from Hanoi’s dancesport team, dance clubs, and dance enthusiasts jointly performed Hanoi Tango, a piece composed by Diep Minh Tuyen.
