A woman in Lang Son Province has been fined after traffic police identified her standing on an active railway track while exercising with a hula hoop, following a report submitted through the hotline of the Director of the Traffic Police Department.

On the morning of June 25, a representative of the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security said the Traffic Police Division of Lang Son Provincial Police had issued an administrative violation report against the woman.

Authorities launched an investigation after receiving a citizen's report through the department's hotline, accompanied by a video showing the woman casually exercising on railway tracks.

The investigation determined that the incident occurred at Km89+192 on the Hanoi - Dong Dang railway line in Tan Thanh Commune. Traffic police coordinated with Tan Thanh Commune Police to summon L.T.L., born in 1979 and residing in Tan Thanh Commune, for questioning.

Traffic police issued a violation report against her for "standing on a railway," an offense stipulated under Point a, Clause 1, Article 15 of Decree No. 81/2026. The violation carries a fine of up to VND400,000 (about USD15).

The Traffic Police Department urged the public not to walk, stand, sit or engage in any other activities within railway areas or railway safety corridors, and to strictly comply with regulations to protect both personal and public safety.
