After more than a day of searching, local authorities have recovered the body of a Korean national who went missing while paddleboarding on Da Den Lake in Ho Chi Minh City.

At around noon on May 2, the city’s Fire Prevention and Rescue Police confirmed they had found the body of K.H.S., 65, a South Korean citizen, after he disappeared during a stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) outing on the lake in Kim Long commune.
The victim was discovered in the middle of the lake, approximately 500 meters south of the shoreline.
According to a leader of the Kim Long People’s Committee, the victim was a company director working in an industrial park in the area.

After bringing the body ashore, authorities proceeded with forensic procedures and an investigation to determine the cause of death, in accordance with regulations.
Earlier, as reported, on the morning of May 1, the victim and a Vietnamese friend drove to Da Den Lake for a paddleboarding trip.
While returning to shore, the friend realized that Mr. S. had gone missing and immediately reported the incident to local authorities.
Upon receiving the report, Kim Long commune police worked with relevant individuals and coordinated with rescue forces to launch a search operation.
