This zoo is located in the primeval forest of Ganh Dau commune, Phu Quoc city, in Kien Giang province.
Trang, from Hanoi, and her friends were equipped with flashlights and rode on a dedicated bus with the support of technical staff and tour guides.
"I was very curious and a little worried because I didn't know how wild animals would be at night," Trang said.

At night, elephants are more active and fierce than during the day.
"I've been to many zoos but this is the first time I've experienced a night tour," said Mr. Minh, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City.
There are about 20 rare primate species preserved at the semi-wild zoo, including black chimpanzee, squirrel monkey, yellow-cheeked gibbon, Mamoset monkey.
During the day, the zoo welcomes a large number of tourists.
The zoo is home to more than 3,000 animals, including many species in the Red Book.
There are about 2,000 birds, with many rare species such as crown crane, Macau parrot, South American parrot, red-headed crane, red stork, American flamingo.
