Will, 42, has a great passion for tourism and has been to 19 countries. In Vietnam, he spent several months in Da Nang, the city with beautiful landscapes, beautiful trees, delicious food and reasonable living cots.

Will said people often ask him how much he  spends on meals each day. so he decided to take a short food tour in the city centre. DaNang is a livable city with many eateries everywhere, all providing delicious food at reasonable prices, he said.

“I don’t eat breakfast, so I will introduce a destination during my lunch."

At an eatery on Phan Ton street in Ngu Hanh Son district, he ordered ‘bo ne’ (dodging beef steak) which consists of beef, eggs and sauce, priced at VND40,000, and a soft drink, for VND15,000.

Bo ne is one of the local specialties he loves. “It is hot and delicious when eaten with bread. The bread has a soft crumb and crispy crust,” he said.

After that, Will moved to Bac My An Market in the same district and visited the stalls. He suggested a small cake shop in the market for a snack while commenting that there were a lot of choices.

“I once came here and bought an oatmeal cookie. It was the most delicious cookie I’d ever tasted, but it was super cheap, just VND5,000,” he said. “Maybe it needed to be a bit sweeter."

While wandering in the market, the American man bought a glass of kumquat tea, priced at VND10,000. He said that this was his favorite refreshing drink when traveling Vietnam in hot weather.

For dinner, Will visited a restaurant on Nguyen Van Thoai street where he tried com tam (broken rice) with grilled ribs and fried eggs, priced at VND55,000. He liked the good price and the way the ribs were seasoned.
