Community tourism professional training for ethnic minority youth.

There are two ethnic minority villages in Tan Son commune, Pleiku city, Gia Lai province, where people's lives mainly rely on agricultural production.

The Tan Son Commune People's Committee annually provides free breeds and organizes training classes to transfer science and technology in production to villagers.

The commune authorities also coordinate with relevant organizations to organize study tours for ethnic minorities to help them exchange production and life experiences, and encourage local people to switch to valuable crops and livestock of high economic value.

The People's Committee of Tan Son commune recently coordinated with the Gia Lai College to successfully organize a training course on community-based tourism for young ethnic minority people in the commune.

After the 2-month course with the participation of a team of qualified and experienced teachers from the Gia Lai College, 33 ethnic minority trainees were equipped with basic knowledge and skills about community-bassed tourism. The course combined theoretical introduction with practice of guide skills, accommodation services, cuisine, cultural activities...

Tan Son is a commune on the outskirts of Pleiku city with many beautiful and peaceful natural landscapes. In recent years, Tan Son has become a familiar destination on weekends, holidays, and Tet holiday for local residents, visitors from neighboring districts, and tourists.

The community-based tourism training course is expected to create jobs and increase income for young ethnic minority people in Tan Son commune, creating a premise for young people to start a business, promoting local strengths and cultural identities for economic development.
