A 24-member team deployed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security has begun engaging in search and rescue efforts in the Turkish southeastern city of Adiyaman.

Five consecutive tremors hit Kon Plong district in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on February 9, with one of them measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale, according to details given by the Institute of Geophysics.

Kon Plong District in Kon Tum Province has recently experienced four earthquakes. Fortunately, the earthquakes did not cause any damage to people's property.

An earthquake measuring three on the Richter scale jolted Ha Giang city in the northern border mountainous province of the same name on November 28.

Three consecutive earthquakes hit Kon Plong district in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on August 23 afternoon, according to the Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Centre (EITWC).

Initially, scientists have determined that the earthquakes in Kon Plong District are earthquake excitations caused by the water reservoir of the hydropower projects but they are not serious.

More than 30 earthquakes have occurred in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum over the past month with the strongest measuring 3.9 on the Richter Scale.
