Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 2 (Prapiroon), Hanoi experienced a heavy downpour, especially affecting Thang Long Boulevard. Starting at 1pm, underpasses and roadside lanes were engulfed by the rising water.

By 5pm, the flooding and traffic jams on Thang Long Boulevard intensified. Many cars and motorcycles broke down as drivers attempted to navigate through the flooded areas.

To alleviate the traffic congestion, traffic police redirected vehicles to travel in the opposite direction on the side roads. Workers from the Hanoi Drainage Company not only cleared the waterways but also set up warning signs in flooded areas.
