At the time of reporting, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max had been removed from Apple's official online store in Vietnam.

Before the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max went on sale, authorized Apple retailers in Vietnam generally priced the iPhone 17 lineup just $0.35 below Apple's official prices.

Recently, however, retailers have introduced substantial discounts on the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, with price reductions reaching nearly $140.

For the 256GB iPhone 17, Di Dong Viet is offering the device for approximately $980, while The Gioi Di Dong, FPT Shop and Minh Tuan Mobile are selling it for around $984. CellphoneS has listed the same model at about $1,022.

Depending on the retailer, discounts on the standard iPhone 17 range from approximately $96 to $139.

For the iPhone 17 Pro, Di Dong Viet and Minh Tuan Mobile are offering the device at around $1,227, while The Gioi Di Dong, FPT Shop and CellphoneS have set their prices at approximately $1,234.

These prices represent reductions of roughly $116 to $123 from the original listed price.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is available for approximately $1,327 at Di Dong Viet and $1,339 at Minh Tuan Mobile. The Gioi Di Dong, FPT Shop and CellphoneS are all offering the model for around $1,350.

Discounts on the iPhone 17 Pro Max range from approximately $116 to $139, depending on the retailer.

According to Counterpoint Research, the iPhone 17 was the world's best-selling smartphone in both the first and second quarters of 2026.

Apple's improvements to the standard model, particularly the introduction of a display with a 120Hz refresh rate, have narrowed the gap between the regular iPhone and its premium counterparts.

These upgrades have made the iPhone 17 more attractive to consumers who find that the standard model already meets their everyday needs.

Meanwhile, with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max offering relatively few major upgrades, many buyers are continuing to opt for the discounted iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max rather than spend considerably more on Apple's newer flagship devices.
