Vietnamese buyers seeking the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max in Burgundy Red or Ice Crystal may have to wait until mid- or late October 2026 as strong demand for the two colors strains supplies at authorized retailers.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max began reaching customers in Vietnam on Sept. 18, but only about 15-20% of preordered devices were delivered on launch day.

Since then, Apple-authorized retail chains have continued fulfilling preorders as distributors send new shipments to stores in batches.

However, Vietnamese consumers upgrading to the iPhone 18 Pro Max have overwhelmingly favored the 256GB version in Burgundy Red and Ice Crystal, creating shortages of those particular configurations.

A representative of CellphoneS said the retailer currently has all colors of the iPhone 18 Pro Max with 1TB and 2TB of storage available.

For lower-capacity models, customers can currently choose the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max in Black or the 512GB model in Silver or Black.

The 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max in Burgundy Red and Ice Crystal, however, is still being delivered to customers in order, with the next deliveries expected between Oct. 15 and 30.

A representative of Minh Tuan Mobile similarly said distributors have continued supplying the retailer with iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max units in batches since the models went on sale.

As a result, deliveries are taking place continuously depending on when individual shipments arrive, rather than according to a fixed schedule.

Minh Tuan Mobile said its staff would contact individual customers and provide precise delivery dates as soon as new shipments reach its warehouses.

According to the retailer, the number of devices allocated in each shipment remains limited and uneven, meaning current supplies cannot immediately meet strong preorder demand.

Shortages are therefore expected to persist in the near term, particularly for the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max and popular colors such as Burgundy Red and Ice Crystal.

TopZone, operated by Mobile World, said it had also begun another round of deliveries to preorder customers this week after receiving a new shipment of iPhone 18 Pro Max devices on Sept. 28.

The devices will be distributed in order to customers who previously placed preorders.

Customers currently seeking the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max in Burgundy Red or Ice Crystal still need to preorder the device and wait for delivery.

VietNamNet found that websites operated by major retailers including Mobile World, Di Dong Viet, CellphoneS and Minh Tuan Mobile currently list the 256GB Burgundy Red and Ice Crystal models as either arriving soon or available for preorder.

The situation is markedly different for the iPhone 18 Pro.

Apple-authorized retailers in Vietnam currently have the iPhone 18 Pro readily available across colors and storage capacities.

However, retailers have observed that most customers upgrading their phones are opting for the iPhone 18 Pro Max rather than the iPhone 18 Pro.
