Vietnam now has 11 one-star Michelin restaurants, including two new additions.
The full list comprises Gia, Hibana by Koki and Tam Vi in Hanoi; Long Trieu, Anan Saigon, Akuna, CieL and Coco Dining in Ho Chi Minh City; La Maison 1888 in Da Nang; and two newcomers - ONVIT in Hanoi and Upstairs in Ho Chi Minh City.
ONVIT, a Korean fine-dining restaurant located inside Grand Plaza Hanoi Hotel, takes its name from a Korean word meaning "warm light."
The restaurant focuses on contemporary Korean cuisine while incorporating locally sourced Vietnamese ingredients. According to its representatives, ONVIT aims to showcase regional produce through refined culinary techniques and hospitality.
Meanwhile, Upstairs offers a modern interpretation of Vietnamese cuisine, preserving the essence of traditional dishes while presenting them through a contemporary lens. The restaurant has been in operation for just 18 months.
