From the moment she landed at Tan Son Nhat Airport, the new beauty queen was welcomed with a double-decker bus adorned with her image from the crowning moment. The parade then began, making its way through the city’s major streets.
The convoy passed through central routes like Nguyen Van Troi, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, and Dong Khoi, stopping at iconic landmarks such as the Municipal Theatre, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Building, Independence Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Statue, and Bach Dang Wharf Park.
Thanh Thuy was accompanied by Mr. Stephen Diaz, a representative from the Miss International Organization. Along the parade route, fans cheered enthusiastically. Students from Le Quy Don High School waved to her from the sidewalks and classroom balconies.
Her crowning image and title were displayed prominently on large LED billboards in central locations, and banners along Truong Son Street also featured her image.
Passing through the city’s main streets, Thanh Thuy was visibly moved by the warm reception from the public. Despite the sunny weather, the celebratory atmosphere remained vibrant and joyous.
Thanh Thuy’s victory at Miss International 2024 marks a significant milestone for Vietnam in the global beauty pageant arena, as this is the highest achievement by a Vietnamese representative in the competition’s history.
