In the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030, the Prime Minister clearly stated the view that developing the digital platform is a breakthrough solution to promote digital transformation in a faster, cheaper and more efficient manner in the country. The tourism business and management platform has been identified by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) as one of the 35 national digital platforms that are prioritized for development.

The MIC’s plan to promote the development and use of a national digital platform for tourism business and management was recently issued. The goal is to develop a digital platform for tourism management and business that is excellent in terms of technology, features and experiences. This platform will be implemented on a national scale, providing information and online experiences for tourists before and during their tours in real time; optimizing tourism management and development based on digital data, serving as a foundation to accelerate digital transformation and developing digital tourism of each locality and the entire country.

This plan will be jointly implemented by relevant agencies of the MIC, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

According to the plan, this platform will be developed from March to June and will operate on a trial basis in July and August in 5-10 provinces. After being reviewed, the platform will be used in the whole country.
