As part of its mandate, the ministry conducted thorough inspections to ensure public sector compliance with workplace discipline and policies. Two major investigations were carried out in Hanoi and Can Tho, focusing on civil servant resignations and adherence to service protocols impacting citizens and businesses.
In addition, 23 planned inspections were conducted at various ministries and localities, helping to strengthen accountability and workplace discipline across the public sector. The inspections revealed gaps in policy implementation and compliance, prompting recommendations for amendments to existing laws.
The Ministry also proposed corrective measures, such as revoking improper recruitment and appointment decisions, and called on relevant authorities to address accountability for violations.
Provincial Departments of Home Affairs contributed by organizing 2,792 inspections, including 326 formal investigations and 2,466 compliance checks. These efforts were aimed at proactively preventing misconduct in public service.
Disciplinary actions: 4,741 cases (390 officials, 1,092 civil servants, 3,259 public employees).

By October 30, 2024, 16,149 public sector positions had been eliminated as part of downsizing efforts. Ministries and agencies contributed 217 positions, while local governments accounted for 15,932.
Recruitment efforts were also notable, with 39,218 new hires. These included 3,879 civil servants and 35,402 public employees, with 230 positions filled under Decree 140/2017 for exceptional graduates and young scientists.
