A 21-second video circulating on social media shows multiple foreign men trying to flee from about five local individuals -both male and female. One tourist attempting to protect a friend was attacked with what appeared to be a weapon, causing him to fall to the ground before being pursued and assaulted again.

The video quickly went viral, prompting public outcry and demands for swift justice to protect tourist safety in the beachside city.

Local officials confirmed the incident occurred in downtown Nha Trang and stated that police are working to identify those involved. Early reports suggest the tourists may have been randomly targeted or involved in an earlier confrontation, though this has not been confirmed.

City authorities emphasized that such acts of violence, especially against international guests, damage the image of Vietnam as a safe travel destination. The investigation is ongoing.
