It also expressed deep sympathy with the local governments and people affected by the storm and flooding, particularly families who lost loved ones.

The Politburo called on all agencies and localities to further strengthen coordination and mobilize forces to address the consequences of the storm, prioritizing aid to isolated and severely affected communities.

Military and police forces are required to deploy vehicles and personnel to assist with urgent rescue and relief tasks.

The Politburo emphasized that no citizen should be left without food, clean water, medicine, or shelter. Priority must be given to relocating the sick, the elderly, and children to safe areas.

Agencies must focus on restoring damaged political infrastructure such as government offices, schools, and clinics. Urgent attention is also needed to rebuild the hundreds of thousands of homes destroyed by storms and flooding, restore roads and bridges, and ensure electricity, telecommunications, clean water, and sanitation services are available.

The Politburo instructed localities to inspect and reinforce dikes and reservoirs, while ministries and local governments were told to rapidly implement preparedness plans for storm No. 11, projected to arrive over the weekend.

High-risk areas must stockpile food and essentials in anticipation of possible disruptions due to severe weather.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front was urged to continue mobilizing donations and sponsorships. Youth organizations and local agencies are encouraged to launch volunteer campaigns to help affected populations.

The Politburo also instructed the Government to allocate budget resources to support affected provinces, focusing first on recovery from storm No. 10.

According to reports from provincial authorities, as of 1:00 p.m. October 3, storm No. 10 and subsequent flooding, landslides, and tornadoes have caused 52 deaths, 14 people missing, and 165 injuries.

Hundreds of thousands of homes have been damaged or destroyed. Agricultural crops and livestock have also been affected.

Preliminary economic losses in several provinces amount to approximately 15.972 trillion VND (around 655 million USD), with assessments ongoing.
