Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc submitted proposals on removing several Deputy Prime Ministers, a number of ministers and other Cabinet members to the 13 th National Assembly’s 11th meeting in Hanoi on April 8.

 With the support of 450 or 91.09% of the total National Assembly deputies, Ms Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh was elected new Vice State President on April 8.

 The Vietnamese men’s team, with the presence of top player Le Quang Liem, raked in the silver medal in the rapid chess event of the 2016 Asian Nations Chess Cup, which is underway in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

 National Assembly deputies voted to relieve the Vice State President, the Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy of their posts during the 13 th NA’s last meeting in Hanoi on April 7.

National Assembly deputies hope the newly-elected Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will continue taking the fight against corruption and wastefulness as one of his priorities.

 A number of draft laws sailed through the 11th meeting of the 13th National Assembly in Hanoi on April 6 with the majority of votes in favour.
