The rescue team brought the two tourists down from the mountain at approximately 1:30 a.m. Both were found in stable health following the incident.

The night before, on September 3, the owner of an apartment in northern Nha Trang urgently contacted local rescue services after two foreign guests left the apartment to hike the mountain and failed to return.

Several hours later, the tourists sent a distress message to the apartment owner, stating that they were lost, exhausted, and in need of immediate assistance to descend safely.

Upon receiving the information, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police mobilized rescue officers and specialized vehicles to the scene. The search was complicated by darkness and the rugged terrain, as the hikers were stranded in a steep section of the mountain. After hours of effort, the rescue team successfully located the pair and brought them back to their lodging.

Co Tien Mountain, standing approximately 400 meters high, features three adjoining peaks that resemble the silhouette of a woman with flowing hair gazing skyward. The mountain is a popular camping destination, offering panoramic views of Nha Trang from the summit.
