Hua Kim Tuyen: A prolific year in music

Hua Kim Tuyen had an incredibly dynamic year, standing behind a series of impactful music projects. His contributions include composing and producing albums such as Mongmee by Amee, Anh Bo Vai by Vuong Binh, and Anh Chang Thoat Duoc Dau by My My.

Notably, Tuyen took on the role of music director for the reality competition show Chi Dep Dap Gio (Sisters Who Brave the Winds), where he also showcased his aesthetic sensibilities in music production.

The show featured many of his compositions, including hits like Cau Vong Lap Lanh (Sparkling Rainbow), Thoi Mien (Hypnosis), and Toi Khong Con Viet Tinh Ca (I No Longer Write Love Songs), among others. His song Cau Vong Lap Lanh particularly resonated with audiences, leaving a lasting impression.

Bui Cong Nam: Talent recognized and rewarded

Bui Cong Nam has long been recognized as a gifted songwriter, with a portfolio of hits that cemented his reputation. However, his participation in the competition Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai (Call Me By Fire) allowed him to shine as a well-rounded artist, excelling as a songwriter, music director, producer, and singer.

Following his success in the competition, Bui Cong Nam’s career soared. He founded his own company and gained recognition as a sought-after composer, particularly for festive and Tet-themed music.

With a growing fanbase and a busy schedule as a performer, Nam often finds himself working tirelessly, sometimes with just a few hours of sleep. His self-composed song Chua Te (The Lord) has become a fan favorite.

Phan Manh Quynh: An outstanding year of achievements

For Phan Manh Quynh, 2024 marked a year of unexpected triumphs. His song Sau Loi Tu Khuoc (After the Rejection), initially part of the Tet movie Mai, gained a life of its own, amassing over 42 million views on YouTube and inspiring numerous covers by renowned singers like My Tam and Tung Duong.

Quynh also penned Co Mot Chuyen Tinh (There Was a Love Story) for the film Ngay Xua Co Mot Chuyen Tinh (Once Upon a Love Story).

Toward the end of the year, he released the album CineLove, a compilation of his film scores, including songs from Mat Biec (Dreamy Eyes) and Truyen Ngan (Short Story). The album also introduced new tracks like Hoa Mat Troi (Sunflower) and Datanla.

Quynh capped off the year with his first-ever live concert, Chuyen Tau: Mua Dong (The Train: Winter), featuring guests like My Tam and Bui Cong Nam.

Quang Hung MasterD: Rising against the odds

Quang Hung MasterD’s journey in music has been one of persistence and resilience. Despite earlier struggles to gain recognition, his breakthrough came with viral success in Thailand, where his song De Den De Di (Easy Come Easy Go) garnered millions of views.

In 2024, his participation in Anh Trai Say Hi (Brothers Say Hi) elevated his career, cementing his place among the year’s most beloved songwriters. Hits like Catch Me If You Can and Troi Em Lai (Tie Me Down) highlighted his skill in both composing and producing.

Hung is no longer a hidden gem but a celebrated artist recognized in his homeland and abroad.

Tang Duy Tan: A triumphant return

Tang Duy Tan made a remarkable comeback in 2024 with his album Khu Vuon Tinh (The Garden of Love), showcasing his growth as a composer and musician.

Beyond his own work, Tan also penned two major hits for other artists - Nang Chen Tieu Sau (Raise a Glass to Sorrow) by Bich Phuong and Tai Sinh (Rebirth) by Tung Duong. Both songs became social media sensations, inspiring trends on platforms like TikTok.

With his unique style and ability to resonate deeply with listeners, Tang Duy Tan continues to be one of the most influential figures in Vietnamese music today.
