Nguyen Hoai Anh is a member of the 14th Party Central Committee.
Born in 1977, he is originally from Dien Ban Bac Ward, Da Nang City. He holds a master's degree in public administration, a university degree in architecture and a bachelor's degree in English language and literature.
He spent many years working in the former Binh Thuan Province, where he held a series of leadership positions.
His previous roles include deputy head and head of the provincial Ideology and Culture Commission, deputy secretary and secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, secretary of Tuy Phong District, deputy head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, permanent vice chair of the Provincial People's Council, permanent deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chair of the Provincial People's Council and secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
In July 2025, he was transferred to serve as permanent deputy secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee.
Two months later, in September 2025, he was appointed deputy secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee before being elected chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.
At the 14th National Party Congress in January 2026, Nguyen Hoai Anh was elected as a member of the 14th Party Central Committee.
Following the appointment, the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs now has five deputy ministers: Nguyen Hoai Anh (Standing Deputy Minister); Y Vinh Tor; Y Thong; Nong Thi Ha; Nguyen Hai Trung.
