From the opening minutes, Vietnam asserted their dominance by controlling possession and applying constant pressure. In the 12th minute, Nhan Gia Hung broke the deadlock with a composed finish following a precise assist from Thai Huy.
After the break, coach Diego Giustozzi’s side quickly extended their advantage. Da Hai scored twice in quick succession, converting from close range early in the second half and again in the 22nd minute to make it 3-0. Vietnam maintained complete control, continuing to press forward and dictate the tempo.
In the 28th minute, newcomer Nguyen Thac Hieu sealed the victory with a sharp finish after an impressive individual run, making it 4-0. On the other end, Myanmar attempted to respond but were unable to break through Vietnam’s well-organized defense, while goalkeeper Pham Van Tu delivered a steady performance.
