The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam has officially voted to revise its agenda, concluding the event on January 23 instead of the previously scheduled January 25.
At a pre-Congress press conference outlining the schedule, Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and Standing member of the Party Secretariat, stated that the Congress was initially planned to run from January 19 to 25, 2026.
However, as the Congress progressed, the pace of work was described as exceptionally efficient, characterized by a high level of responsibility and scientific organization. As a result, many agenda items were completed ahead of time.
During the working session held on the afternoon of January 21, delegates voted to approve the revised schedule, shortening the Congress by 1.5 days.
Accordingly, the 14th Party Congress will now officially conclude on January 23.
