Breaking away from the extravagant designs often seen on international pageant stages, Huong Giang opted for a minimalist white ao dai paired with a Thong Nhat bicycle and a conical hat featuring the iconic red flag with a yellow star.

The moment she stepped on stage, her image quickly spread across social media, receiving an outpouring of admiration. Viewers expressed their emotional response to her thoughtful and elegant costume choice.

“It’s simple but beautiful - truly Vietnamese,” “That bicycle brings back childhood memories for generations,” and “Huong Giang made a strong impression without going over the top” were among the most widely shared comments across beauty forums.

Speaking to VietNamNet, designer Ngo Manh Dong Dong revealed that the bicycle was adorned with approximately 300,000 sparkling crystals, with the crystal materials alone costing around 61,000 USD.

As for the ao dai, he selected a cotton-silk fabric, inspired by the traditional Vietnamese student uniform. The design featured a high collar, raglan sleeves, and an A-line silhouette, paired with wide-leg trousers. The outfit aimed for a simple, breathable, and pure aesthetic that stayed true to the traditional spirit of the costume.

Prior to this segment, Huong Giang had already participated in several preliminary activities, including the swimsuit competition, where she received enthusiastic support from fans in Vietnam.

Miss Universe 2025 remains one of the most prestigious beauty contests globally. The final night will take place on November 21.
