These curated destinations are described as aligning with the growing trend of experiential travel, offering authenticity, uniqueness, and emotional resonance - far removed from mainstream tourist circuits.

Each site on the list, according to NDTV, offers memorable experiences, remarkable scenery, and relative serenity, attracting travelers looking for meaningful discovery.

Vietnam’s representative on the list is Ta Xua, a remote commune in the mountainous province of Son La. NDTV highlighted it as a “cloud hunting paradise,” where the iconic “dinosaur spine” - a narrow mountain ridge flanked by white, billowing valleys - offers both visual drama and a thrill for adventurers.

Situated at an altitude between 1,500 to 2,000 meters above sea level, Ta Xua is about 250 kilometers from downtown Hanoi. The region boasts majestic, untouched landscapes that make it ideal for nature lovers and off-grid explorers.

The cloud-hunting season in Ta Xua runs from October to April, when misty scenes blanket the highlands. Beyond the “dinosaur spine,” visitors can explore the Dolphin Rock, Camel Rock, ancient tea hills, alpine meadows, and the pristine Ta Xua primeval forest.

NDTV’s list of 26 destinations spans continents including Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Other Asian destinations featured alongside Ta Xua include Luang Prabang (Laos), Siem Reap (Cambodia), Sapporo (Japan), Lovina and Raja Ampat (Indonesia), Jabal Akhdar (Oman), and AlUla (Saudi Arabia).
