Apple-authorized retailers across Vietnam officially began accepting orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at 7 p.m. on Sept. 12.

TopZone, operated by Vietnamese electronics retailer The Gioi Di Dong, said that by 10 a.m. on Sept. 13, 175,000 customers had placed deposits for the two new iPhones through its network.

Most strikingly, the retailer recorded 160,000 deposits within just 20 minutes of opening preorders.

At TopZone, the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max in Burgundy emerged as the most popular choice, followed by the 512GB version and the Glacier color.

The retailer has pledged to deliver devices on schedule, offering customers VND1 million (about $38) in compensation for late deliveries.

Other promotions include trade-in subsidies of up to VND3 million ($114), discounts of up to VND5 million ($190) for payments using eligible bank cards and digital wallets, and a VND2 million ($76) discount when purchasing another Apple product.

Customers can also choose an interest-free installment plan lasting up to 18 months with no down payment.

At Di Dong Viet, 22,746 customers had placed deposits for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max by 10 a.m. on Sept. 13.

The larger Pro Max overwhelmingly dominated demand, accounting for 84% of deposits, compared with 16% for the iPhone 18 Pro.

The 256GB storage option accounted for 75% of orders.

Burgundy was also the most popular color at the retailer, chosen for 66% of iPhone 18 Pro Max orders and 53% of iPhone 18 Pro orders.

Di Dong Viet is offering promotions worth up to VND10 million ($380). In addition to trade-in valuations, customers participating in its upgrade program can receive subsidies of up to VND6 million ($228).

Further discounts of up to VND4 million ($152) are available depending on the payment method and terms of individual promotions.

Alternatively, buyers can use the retailer's "Installment 30" program, which offers zero interest, zero fees and no down payment for purchases of the iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone 18 Pro.

CellphoneS, another major Vietnamese electronics retailer, recorded nearly 40,000 successful deposits in less than 15 hours after preorders opened.

Burgundy and Glacier were its two most popular colors, while estimated delivery times for some orders have already extended into November.

Customers who preorder through CellphoneS can receive trade-in subsidies of up to VND5 million ($190) or discounts of up to VND2 million ($76) when paying with eligible credit cards or linked digital wallets.

The retailer is also offering its S-BuyBack program, which guarantees a trade-in value of up to 65% of the device's original value after as long as 15 months of use.

FPT Shop has seen an even stronger preference for Apple's larger model.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max currently accounts for around 94% of all deposits for the iPhone 18 Pro series at the retailer.

Again, the 256GB model is the most popular storage configuration, reflecting its suitability for the needs of most customers, while Burgundy has attracted the largest number of preorders.

Minh Tuan Mobile, meanwhile, is offering an iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max preorder package worth up to VND3.85 million ($146).

Customers paying through partner banks including Vietcombank, Techcombank, MB Bank and VPBank can receive direct discounts of up to VND2 million ($76).

The retailer is also offering an installment program with no interest, no additional fees and no down payment, alongside support for quickly transferring eSIMs from Vietnamese carriers Viettel, VinaPhone and MobiFone.

Its trade-in program offers subsidies of up to 88% through what the retailer describes as a transparent device-assessment process.

Apple-authorized retailers in Vietnam are scheduled to begin handing the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max to customers at 8 a.m. on Sept. 18.
