Phuong bread (Hoi An)
The late world-class chef Anthony Bourdain (USA) once came to Vietnam and enjoyed Phuong bread in the ancient city of Hoi An. He said that it was "the best sandwich in the world".
The famous Canadian chef Cameron Stach was also fascinated and excited when he first tasted the famous Phuong bread in Hoi An.
Thanks to praise from famous chefs, Phuong bread in Hoi An has appeared on many international media channels.
Most notably, this shop was featured for nearly 2 minutes on the American travel and food program No Reservations and appeared on a culinary discovery program broadcast on a Korean TV channel.
Madam Khanh bread (Hoi An)
Another banh mi shop in Hoi An that has also appeared on foreign media is Madam Khanh bread.

Nguyen Trai Bread (HCM City)
Located on Nguyen Trai Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), the no-name bread shop is famous and has appeared in the American travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler for its unique fillings.
"The street food chefs are amazing. They just need a trolley and a brazier or an oil pan to create a wonderful meal," the magazine said.

Unlike other banh mi shops, the fillings the shop uses are all typical items of the southern region, including grilled meat, cucumber, cilantro, pickles and black soy sauce. The grilled meat has a lemongrass aroma. Black soy sauce helps to blend the ingredients, creating a harmonious flavor.
Dragon fruit bread from ABC Bakery (HCM City)
The dragon fruit bread was created by Mr. Kao Sieu Luc during Covid-19 to help farmers sell their dragon fruit that could not be exported at the time.

Although not a traditional type of bread, this banh mi is loved for its unique pink color and flavor and was praised by Business Insider in the US.
