Representatives of Oppo, Xiaomi and vivo have confirmed plans to introduce smartphones bearing the Pro Max name to the Vietnamese market in the coming weeks.
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is expected to launch in late October, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and vivo X500 Pro Max are scheduled to go on sale around mid-to-late November.
Meanwhile, Honor has yet to confirm whether its Pro Max lineup will be available in Vietnam.
This marks the first time vivo and Oppo have adopted the Pro Max designation for their premium smartphones, rather than the Ultra branding previously associated with their flagship offerings.
Here is a closer look at the three upcoming devices.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Max

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max stands out with a 2.9-inch secondary OLED display on its rear panel, featuring an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The screen supports more than 100 widgets, dynamic notifications and AI-generated wallpapers.
Its main display is a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits, protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3.
In terms of performance, the device is the first smartphone to launch with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, built on a 2nm manufacturing process.
The eight-core chipset offers clock speeds of up to 5.0GHz and is paired with an Adreno 850 GPU, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The Leica-developed camera system includes a 200MP main sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 200MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3.2x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
The phone packs a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of up to 8,500mAh, supporting 100W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 27W reverse charging.
Other features include IP68 water and dust resistance and HyperOS 4 based on Android 17.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is expected to reach the Vietnamese market no later than the first half of November.
Vivo X500 Pro Max
Unveiled in Shanghai in late September, the vivo X500 Pro Max is the most premium model in the X500 series, with a particular emphasis on long-range photography.
The smartphone features a 50MP main camera using Sony's LYTIA 910 sensor, measuring 1/1.28 inches, with a 24mm equivalent focal length and an f/1.57 aperture.
It also includes a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
Its main photographic highlight is a 200MP telephoto camera equipped with Zeiss APO optics, featuring an 85mm focal length, an f/2.67 aperture and 3.5x optical zoom.
The telephoto system also supports CIPA 7.0-rated image stabilisation.
The device features a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, an adaptive 1-144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 4,400 nits.
Powering the smartphone is MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, manufactured on a 2nm process, alongside dedicated V3+/VS1+ image-processing chips.
Memory options include 12GB or 16GB of RAM, with storage configurations reaching up to 1TB.
The vivo X500 Pro Max is equipped with an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging.
It also offers IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance.
The flagship is expected to become available in Vietnam in November.
Oppo Find X10 Pro Max
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max draws particular attention with its triple 200MP rear-camera system.
The setup comprises a 200MP main camera with an f/1.5 aperture and OIS, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 200MP ultra-wide camera.
All three cameras feature Hasselblad-tuned optics, complemented by a second-generation Danxia lens and LUMO shading algorithms.
The camera module has a rounded-square design with CNC-machined, gear-like ridges, intended to evoke the tactile feel of a traditional mechanical camera.
The device also features a metal frame and a matte, woven-texture rear panel.
On the front is a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,600 nits, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The Find X10 Pro Max runs on MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, built on a 2nm process with clock speeds of up to 4.55GHz.
The chipset is supported by Oppo's Tide Engine technology, alongside 12GB or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The smartphone includes an 8,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
It also supports IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance and runs ColorOS 17.
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is expected to go on sale in Vietnam in late October 2026.
Despite their advanced specifications, pricing could prove a significant obstacle to the adoption of these Pro Max smartphones among Vietnamese consumers.
In China, the three devices are priced at approximately $1,040-$1,160.
However, industry observers estimate that retail prices in Vietnam could reach around $1,540-$1,930, considerably higher than in their home market.
The manufacturers have yet to announce official pricing for Vietnam.
