Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on April 22 signed a dispatch asking for prompt actions to fix the consequences of a serious workplace accident that happened in a cement factory in Yen Bai the same day, as well as measures to support victims.

Seven workers were killed and three other were injured in a work-related accident at a cement plant in Yen Bai province, northern Vietnam, on April 22.

Mu Cang Chai district is home to many ethnic minorities, of which the Mong people account for more than 90% of the population. The Mong people have the habit of settling in mountainous areas from 800 - 1500m high with many unique cultural features.
