On April 23, the Fire and Rescue Team No. 3 under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Division of Da Nang City Police confirmed that they had safely freed a foreign male tourist who was stuck inside a bathroom due to the incident.

Earlier, on the morning of April 22, the command information center received a report about the case at a residence on An Thuong 3 Street, in Ngu Hanh Son Ward. The victim, identified as S.A.G., is a US national, approximately 1.80 meters tall and weighing nearly 300kg.

Immediately after receiving the alert, rescue personnel and specialized equipment were dispatched to the scene. However, the operation faced significant challenges due to the confined bathroom space and the victim’s large physical size.

Rescuers deployed specialized tools and devised a suitable plan, coordinating closely with local police and medical teams to ensure the victim’s safety throughout the process.

After nearly three hours of continuous effort, the rescue team successfully brought the victim out safely and handed him over to medical personnel for further care.
