The first iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max units pre-ordered in Vietnam from Sept. 12 are scheduled to reach customers from 8am on Sept. 18.

Around 300,000 orders for the two models have been recorded in Vietnam so far.

At The Gioi Di Dong alone, 200,814 customers have registered orders, including 180,740 who have already paid deposits.

Not everyone, however, will receive a new iPhone on Sept. 18, with deliveries expected to be made in batches.

At CellphoneS, more than 40,000 customers have placed deposits for the new models, and estimated delivery times have already stretched into November 2026.

With record demand at The Gioi Di Dong and Apple-authorized retailers across Vietnam, some sources say shortages of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are likely.

Such shortages are not unusual during new iPhone launches, when Apple’s initial supply can fall short of demand.

Some retailers have told customers that those wanting to receive their phones on Sept. 18 will need to purchase additional warranty packages or accessories. At some stores, these bundles cost nearly $305.

Representatives of several smaller Apple and iPhone retailers in Ho Chi Minh City said they could still source the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max for customers seeking immediate availability.

However, buyers may have to pay premiums of up to about $230 compared with prices at authorized retailers.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in the early hours of Sept. 10 Vietnam time.

The new models offer relatively few major changes from the previous generation, with their exterior design remaining largely similar.

Notable upgrades include a smaller Dynamic Island, the new A20 Pro chip and longer battery life.

The biggest change is a new camera system featuring a variable aperture and manual controls that offer deeper access to the camera hardware.

The feature could be particularly useful for content creators who use an iPhone as their primary tool for professional-style photography and video.

The new Burgundy color has also attracted considerable interest in Vietnam, accounting for more than 60% of iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max pre-orders.
