The Vietnam Pavilion officially opened at the 2024 Frankfurt Book Fair, showcasing over 1,000 publications and highlighting the nation’s rich cultural and literary heritage.
Vietnamese books will be introduced at Frankfurter Buchmesse, the largest book fair in the world, which will take place in Frankfurt, Germany, from October 16 to 20.

The number of digital publications issued in 2023 rose 19.4% year-on-year to 4,000 titles with around 36 million copies, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications’ Authority of Publication, Printing and Distribution (APPD).
Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung stated that, due to waves of technology, the publishing industry is facing difficulties; thus, it needs to be more creative to adapt to the changes.
The publishing industry yielded fruitful results in 2022 but in 2023, especially at the end of the year, it fell into difficulties. Therefore, the industry’s existing problems need to be solved in order to overcome difficulties.

Famous French contemporary writer Marc Levy is scheduled to return to the nation in order to attend a debut of a play adapted from his book “All Those Things We Never Said” in Ho Chi Minh City on November 7.
